With 2–3 reels, the masonry rhythm collapses. The fallback is a single row of equal-sized thumbnails — no featured slot, no size variation. When the archive passes four reels, the page upgrades itself into the mixed-aspect grid. Promotion to “featured” is editorial, not chronological.
